# Standard Job Definitions & Types Various features use standard jobs to run recurring processes. Standard jobs typically use a job type that does not support custom job definitions, meaning that you must use the standard job definition. When editing standard job definitions, not all settings are editable. ## Task Reminder Notification Job Type: Task Reminder Notification : Sends reminders for automatic workflow task reminders. ## Flash Report Job Type: Flash Report : Sends a report with cached results to _Viewers_ and _Editors_ via email. ## Match EDL Items to Documents Job Type: Match EDL Items : (eTMF, Study Startup, and RIM only) Matches EDL Item records to documents. ## Vault Loader Job Type: Loader: Create[^1] : Creates new records via Vault Loader. Job Type: Loader: Upsert[^1] : Creates and updates new records via Vault Loader. Job Type: Loader: Update[^1] : Updates records via Vault Loader. Job Type: Loader: Delete[^1] : Deletes records via Vault Loader. Job Type: Loader: Extract[^1] : Extracts records via Vault Loader. ## User Exception Cleanup Job Type: User Exception Cleanup : Deletes _User Exception Item_ and _User Exception Message_ records that are inactive or older than 180 days. ## Workflow Admin Action Job Type: Workflow Admin Action: Cancel Workflows[^1] : Cancels multiple object, document, or multi-document workflows. This job type can only be initiated through the Vault API. ## Bulk Stage File Cleanup Job Type: Bulk Stage File Cleanup : Deletes old files from your Vault's file staging at regular intervals. ## Regulatory Jobs ### Active Dossier Display Update Job Type: SDK : Assesses and updates the [_Display Multiple_](/en/lr/71560/#display-multiple) (`display_multiple__v`) picklist field on _Active Dossier Item Detail_ records when Vault creates or deletes a valid _Registration_, _Product Variant_, _Manufacturer_, and/or _Inactive Ingredient_ relationship. ### Assess Local Activities Job Type: SDK : (RIM Registrations only) Asynchronously applies _Activity_ and _Activity Change Item_ field values according to user selection within the Assess Local Activities viewer. ### Automated Hyperlinking Job (Phases 1 & 2) Job Type: SDK : (RIM Submissions Publishing only) Allows Vault to batch and extract Veeva Specific URLs from Content Plan hierarchy records (Phase 1), then [create hyperlinks](/en/lr/554001/) based on the Veeva Specific URLs within the batch. ### Clean Up TOC Edit Information Job Type: Clean Up TOC Edit Information : Deletes background Table of Contents files after submissions are complete when the _Actual Submission Date_ or _Last Published Date_ is at least three (3) months earlier than the current date. ### Create UDI Submission Job Type: Async operation[^1] : (RIM Registrations only) Allows Vault to [generate](/en/lr/75823/#generate-udi-data) Unique Device Identification (UDI) data for medical device submissions. ### Delete Inactive Content Plans Job Type: SDK : (RIM Submissions only) [Deletes unused, inactive](/en/lr/30704/#delete-inactive-content-plans) _Content Plan_ and _Content Plan Item_ records with an _Actual Submission Date_, _Last Published Date_, or _Event Complete Date_ at least 365 days earlier than the current date. ### Generate, Refresh, or Commit IDMP Data View Job Type: Async operation [^1] : (RIM Registrations only) Three separate system jobs which allow Vault to generate, refresh, and commit IDMP data for users working with the IDMP Viewer. ### RIM Publish and Merge {#rim-merge} Job Type: Async operation [^1] : (RIM Publishing and RIM Submissions Archive only) Allows users to combine the PDF files matched within a content plan into a single merged PDF. ### Submission Wizard Job Type: Async operation[^1] : (RIM Submissions and RIM Registrations only) Allows Vault to create Submissions, Regulatory Objectives, and their relationships. ### Submissions Archive Cleanup Job Type: Async operation[^1] : (RIM Submissions Archive only) System-managed job that removes unused temporary files Vault creates as part of the Submissions Archive import process. ### Submissions Archive Delete Orphaned Files Job Type: Submissions Archive Content : (RIM Submissions Archive only) Deletes documents that should belong to a [Submissions Archive dossier](/en/lr/28082/), but aren't connected to one. ### Submissions Archive Empty Section Indicator Job Type: Async operation[^1] : (RIM Submissions Archive only) Allows Vault to calculate and apply a visual styling in the Submissions Archive Viewer, indicating which sections do not contain documents. ### Submissions Archive Harmonization Job Type: Submission Archive Harmonization : (RIM Submissions Archive only) [Corrects broken references and eCTD placeholder files](/en/lr/64130/#submissions-archive-harmonization) within a submission. ### Update Content Plan Study Sections Job type: Update Content Plan Study Sections : (RIM Submissions only) Updates submission content plan study sections based on the _Clinical_ or _Nonclinical Study Type_ and _Clinical_ or _Nonclinical Study Subtype_ field values. ### Validation Results Archival Job Type: Validation Results Archival : (RIM Publishing and RIM Submissions only) Collects all validation results for a published submission or report level content plan into a single archive package ZIP file and deletes all associated _Submission Validation Result_ records 365 days after the _Actual Submission Date_ (for a submission) or _Last Published Date_ (for a report level content plan).
