# About Submission Join Filters in Submissions Archive (RIM)

Users can filter submissions in the [Submissions Archive Viewer](/en/lr/450731/) based on the submission's related records rather than mapped metadata. For example, users can filter to see only the submissions related to one or more clinical studies based on _Submission Clinical Study_ records.

      <p><strong>Note</strong>:  This feature is only available on RIM Submissions Archive Vaults. As of 23R1 (22R3.4) a newer, enhanced viewer is automatically available in your Vault. Additional configuration of this feature is not required, even if you did not already configure it for the legacy Submissions Archive Viewer.
